If you want to see what Agent 47 might have seemed like without the obligatory video game requirements, I urge you to rent Jean-Pierre Melville's " Le Samourai " (1967), which is about a lone-wolf assassin in Paris ( Alain Delon ).
The film also stars Mila Kunis (Forgetting Sarah Marshall, "That 70's Show"), Ludacris (Hustle and Flow, Fred Claus), Chris O'Donnell (Batman & Robin), Beau Bridges ("Stargate SG1") and Olga Kurylenko (WHO PLAYED PRETTY MUCH THE EXACT SAME PART IN HITMAN).
In attempting to pick up the trail, he finds himself involved with a woman, Natasha (Olga Kurylenko, Hitman), who is subsequently killed.

French director Xavier Gens' second feature is better than anything in the genre directed by Paul WS Anderson (Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil) or Uwe Boll (BloodRayne), but topping that pair isn't much of a challenge.
But since it was that engrossing, who would have ever thought it’d be the cinematic equivalent to wooden planks reenacting The Bourne Identity, which in it of itself is a film this one desperately tries to imitate (even down to the similar sounding score).
The baddies even fall for the old pistol-hidden-in-the-toilet gag, marking them as the world's only gangsters not to have seen “The Godfather."

Driver is up there with Timothy Olyphant’s character in “ Hitman ” on the list of most conspicuous killers.
It´s for people who thought there wasn´t enough noise, blood, or violence in "Hitman," "Shoot ´Em Up," or "Planet Terror."
Comparing it to 2007's similarly but less coherently plotted " Hitman " exposes the sheer talent and ambition of this film, and the complete lack of these things in the earlier miserable release.
