Those familiar with the first Zootopia, released back in 2016 on the eve of Donald Trump’s first term as U.S. president, will remember its basic ethos: a slaphappy, bouncy, colorful children’s movie set in an animal metropolis built around conspicuous parallels to our society’s own prejudice and oppression.
A rehash of Zootopia’s themes, including prejudice, discrimination, bias, and coexistence, are once again central to the plot.
It’s just as politically flummoxed as the first film, but a strong cast and even stronger heart make Zootopia 2 an improvement over its predecessor.
“Zootopia 2” es igual o hasta más divertida, colorida y creativa que la primera parte…
Although not as nimble at juggling action, comedy and commentary as the 2016 original, Zootopia 2 is a clever animation that banks on the bond between its mismatched animal cop partners.
The first “Zootopia” won an Oscar as best animated feature nearly a decade ago.
