Emjay Anthony (2009's " It's Complicated ") is relaxed and natural as young son Percy, while Robert Downey Jr. (2013's " Iron Man 3 "), as Marvin, and Amy Sedaris (2011's " Tanner Hall "), as gung-ho agent Jen, colorfully show up for cameos.
Anthony (It's Complicated, the Rake TV series) is wonderful as a kid who pretends to be nonchalant but can't contain the excitement of working next to a dad he only knows on weekends.
Rita Wilson (2009's " It's Complicated ") is understated and all the more wonderful for it as Vivian.
Her sister is suicidal and her relationship is on “It’s Complicated,” so a trip to Sweden and some mysterious drinks might do her some good, right?

It was a way of getting around or sending up the Hays office production code, and the writer-director Nancy Meyers, a student of film comedy noted for her participation in the remakes of Father of the Bride and The Parent Trap, has retrieved the format for a much-changed society.

It is always chancy to cast an actual couple as onscreen paramours, but Paul Dano (2011's " Cowboys & Aliens ") and Zoe Kazan (2009's " It's Complicated ") are a match made in the same indie-romance heaven that Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel derived from for 2009's " (500) Days of Summer ."
