When an elderly millionaire is found dead with cocaine in his system, his will leaves $8 million to Rebecca Carlson, who was having an affair with him. District attorney Robert Garrett decides to prosecute Rebecca, arguing that she deliberately engaged in wild sex with the old man to overexcite him and lead to his premature death. Defense attorney Frank Dulaney defends Rebecca in court while getting sucked into a dangerous affair with her.

What critics compared Body of Evidence to
It's not unlike the Madonna/Willem Dafoe vehicle Body of Evidence, in that it undermines its attempts at becoming an anthem for womanhood by being derisive and ugly towards women constantly.
Madonna is, of course, an actress of wide repute; the nights on which I saw “Shanghai Surprise” and “Body of Evidence” could not be more memorable if they had been seared onto my flanks with a branding iron.
In Wolf you'll see more of Jonah Hill (on fine form as Belfort's buck-toothed partner Donnie Azoff) than is absolutely necessary, a 'midget-tossing' contest on the trading floor, numerous drugged out sequences powered by cocaine and Quaaludes, and cinema's most eye-opening candle wax scene since Body of Evidence .
Whether it's flaccid thrillers like Body Of Evidence or In The Cut , genuinely laughable efforts like Killing Me Softly or the increasingly awkward Last Tango In Paris which has aged about as well as a gangrenous wound, few films manage to rise above being mere titillation to become worthy pieces of cinema in their own right.
