Perhaps best known as a long-standing whipping post for the young Sofia Coppola, The Godfather, Part III is indeed the disappointment many of its detractors assert it to be – in the same way that some of Orson Welles subsequent works can be called disappointments when compared to Citizen Kane.
Francis Ford Coppola's 1972 classic, "The Godfather," is to gangster films what Cecil B. DeMille's "The Ten Commandments" was to super spectaculars.
Then a shootup scene that looked like it was from "Batman and Robin" or some other lame comic book movie.....then more boring.
They should have called this "Seems Like Old Times."
