What critics compared About Last Night... to
It’s a less emotional, less consequential updating of “About Last Night,” the David Mamet play (“Sexual Perversity in Chicago”) turned movie which, coincidentally, has earned an urban/African American remake this Valentine’s Day.
In the past, several of Kevin Hart’s films (including Ride Along and About Last Night ) have relied too heavily on the comedian’s abilities but this one uses him well and also provides Johnson with a great opportunity to revel in a different type of character.
Director Edward Zwick is responsible for two of my favorite films, "About Last Night" and "Glory."
