(500) Days of Summer background players include Geoffrey Arend (TV’s Trust Me ) Matthew Gray Gubler (TV’s Criminal Minds ) Clark Gregg ( Iron Man Choke ) and Chloe Moretz who is particularly enjoyable as Tom’s unusually wise kid sister/quasi-therapist Rachel.
"Filth" is based on a novel by Irvine Welsh, the Scottish author who apparently trades one-word titles with Chuck Palahniuk: OK, you take "Choke," I'll take "Filth," you take "Snuff," I'll take "Porno," etc. Welsh wrote "Trainspotting," back when he had something to say and wasn't just trying to shock for shock's sake.
Still nursing nightmares of Hudson Hawk , Darren Aronofsky’s The Fountain , and every movie ever written by Charlie Kaufman, I can’t exactly call Choke the worst movie ever made, but you get the picture.
