In fact, it seems less like a remake of the TV soap than the 1979 Dracula spoof Love at First Bite.
Maybe you never saw Love At First Bite or The Brady Bunch Movie (it seems like Tim Burton didn't bother to watch them either -- or maybe he watched them too much and decided to make his own versions).
To my mind, the funniest one is the knockabout Love at First Bite, starring George Hamilton as Count Dracula in New York.

This latter strategy is a tricky business that goes wrong more often than right, as you may know if you've ever seen Love at First Bite (1979) or Dracula: Dead and Loving It (1995) or Dark Shadows (2012).
Spy is one of the most genial and affectionate spoofs since the Star Trek satire Galaxy Quest , yet it generates belly laughs that are closer to Mel Brooks’s Young Frankenstein or Stan Dragoti’s Love at First Bite.
We've had comedic Dracula ("Love at First Bite"), sexy Dracula (Frank Langella), black Dracula ("Scream Blacula Scream"), hairdoed Dracula (Gary Oldman, directed by Francis Ford Coppola).
