One of the greatest strengths of Rogue One and Andor has been showing the gritty, grimy dirty work of forming a rebellion capable of defeating a tyrannical monster.
Saw’s part in this batch of episodes is the one that feels most like a bit of business leading into Rogue One.

As the major spy thriller/espionage series set in the Star Wars universe, Andor is far more complicated than who’s swinging a lightsaber or hanging with Lil Grogu.
This is The Wire in space.
The series at times comes to suggest The Wire, only set in the cosmos, or a George R.R. Martin-style space opera, underscoring the mundane immorality of the imperial servants who spend their days filling out reports rather than battling Jedi.
While I found myself staying up for new episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi, it wasn’t the same with Andor.
This is not another Mandalorian, Boba Fett, or Obi-Wan story with lightsaber fights or cute kids as comic relief.
Obi-Wan Kenobi was also very successful in my eyes…
…but arriving mere months after Obi-Wan Kenobi, which marked a creative low point for the anemic franchise…

No wonder the Rebels took so easily to kicking it with the Ewoks in Return of the Jedi. They were right at home in that kind of setting.
Palpatine apparently didn’t start courting until sometime after Return of the Jedi so he’s not in the market for a new robe.
She also attempts to dance herself clean, which I don’t think is something any viewer of Return of the Jedi expected to see in 1983.
From her first appearance in Return of the Jedi to now we have learned so much about the Chandrillin senator.
It’s gotten audiences talking in a way that we didn’t see with The Book of Boba Fett.

Her head shape suggests a distant relative of E.T.
Similarly, given E.T.’s reaction to Yoda in the 1982 classic, I’m of the firm belief that E.T. is a Jedi and uses the Force.
