Come True is written and directed by Anthony Scott Burns, who previously directed Our House and the segment “Father’s Day” in the anthology film Holidays which I discuss in Hidden Gems in Anthology Films .
Burns acts as his own cinematographer and, as he did with his phenomenal “Father’s Day” segment in 2016’s Holidays — seriously, that short continues to haunt my imagination — he effortlessly creates an atmosphere of dreamy movement and intent.
