Mihai Milaimare Jr.’s (“Youth Without Youth”) cinematography is gasp-inducing, especially in 70mm, but certainly in whatever form most people will see the film in as well.

Most of the movie takes place in 1950, and the allure of the past explains some of the appeal of the film, with its convincing production design (by David Crank and Jack Fisk) and stunning 65-millimeter cinematography (by Mihai Malaimare Jr., known for the recent Coppola films, "Youth Without Youth" and "Tetro").
Movies revolving around time-defying protagonists have bedeviled auteurs as wildly talented as Francis Ford Coppola and David Fincher, whose Youth Without Youth and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, respectively, were career low points.
If you recall the Gollum/Smeagol argument scene from The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers , you have already seen this exact thing only done better.
First come the obligatory nods to the fanboy contingent: Stan Lee, Lou Ferrigno, Bill Bixby on the television, and a quick reprise of Joe Harnell's sad-bastard piano theme--then onto the obligatory baddies in the form of super-soldier Blonsky (Tim Roth, essentially re-enacting his resurrection from Youth Without Youth in one weird sequence) and dunderhead brass Gen. Thaddeus Ross (William Hurt, badly miscast), father of Banner's girlfriend, Betty (Tyler).
But Bruce's luck runs out one day when he cuts himself and misses the splash of blood that makes it into a soda headed for the U.S. That genetic trace alerts Ross to his whereabouts and Ross sicks his pit bull, Emil Blonsky (Tim Roth, "Youth Without Youth," "Funny Games U.S.") onto him.
