Lo primero que se puede deducir en este trabajo del debutante Ilya Naishuller, es que ha logrado con éxito fusionar el concepto visual de los videojuegos, en este caso del género shoot’em up al estilo “Call of Duty” o “Killzone”, con el cine de acción, ya que toda la historia se presenta de manera subjetiva, en primera persona.
Korea’s Man From Nowhere, Paul Greengrass’s Bourne movies, Christopher Nolan’s Batman, Donnie Yen’s Sha Po Lang and Flashpoint, Tony Jaa’s Ong Bak films which have progressively jettisoned their humor until all that remains is two men beating the crap out of each other.
