SCREAM 7 is not Williamson’s feature directorial debut – that would be 1999’s TEACHING MRS. TINGLE – but it’s his first time helming one of his SCREAM screenplays.
Williamson had some good ideas three decades ago, but the well has run dry. Allowing him to direct only his second feature film ever (after 1999’s Teaching Mrs. Tingle) with the franchise in crisis mode results in a discombobulated travesty.
