What critics compared Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia to
Absolutely true -- the movie has the blood of Sam Peckinpah running through its veins (and I'm not referring to its violence but its lifeblood) -- particularly "Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia" and "Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid."
There’s even a touch of Peckinpah’s Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia in its sweaty desperation – and in its violence.
He basically did that to Warren Oates in his later film, Bring Me The Head of Alfredo Garcia.
