It’s more akin to something like the non-game-based, and yet game- like , Freddy vs. Jason, which of course had a Hong Kong director, Ronny Yu.

Visuals
The high-flying action sequences have gotten a lot of ink, but again, if you've seen earlier works like John Woo's Last Hurrah for Chivalry (1978) or Ronny Yu's The Bride with White Hair (1993), there's not a lot here to boggle your eyes or mind.
Cinematography by Peter Pau ("The Bride with White Hair") captures the action while also broadening scope to capture breathtaking scenery in both green, misty mountain terrain and sun scorched deserts.
In the sometimes laborious franchise-crossover tradition of Moneymaker 1 vs. Moneymaker 2 — think Freddy vs. Jason , Alien vs. Predator , and ugh, Batman v Superman — Godzilla vs. Kong is a worthy enough match, and definitely a giant leap forward from their first battle, in the 1963 Toho production.
The main differences between these new films and their predecessors are an increased body count and gratuitous cameo appearances – why director Ronny Yu of Freddy vs. Jason (2003) hired singer Kelly Rowland is a question that may never be answered.
…to malevolent (Bride of Chucky)…
The whole premise of the film is a goof, and that’s fine, but these movies were never intentionally funny (like the Evil Dead pictures).
There is blood-spurting in this film that is literally at an Evil Dead level.

Ritchie's Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch parlayed his talent for East-Ender dialogue and hyperkinetic camerawork into something resembling a coherent style, and while those two cinematic blunderbusses were just short of classics, they were immensely entertaining slabs of Brit-pop fun.
