Wrong Turn poster
We quickly learn that couples Carly (Emmanuelle Chriqui, "On the Line") and Scott (Jeremy Sisto, "Angel Eyes") and Francine (Lindy Booth, "American Psycho 2") and Evan (Kevin Zegers, proving there is life after starring in the "Air Bud" movies) are soothing buddy Jessie's (Eliza Dushku, "City by the Sea") broken heart with a camping trip, and Chris neatly completes the coupling.

From Desmond Harrington and Eliza Dushkus pathetic attempts to sustain horror momentum to Kevin "Air Bud" Zegers brief appearance in the beginning of the film, Wrong Turn offers bad acting abound.
Accordingly, the likes of Jeremy Sisto ("Angel Eyes," "Clueless"), Emmanuelle Chriqui ("On the Line," "Snow Day"), Kevin Zegers (the "Air Bud" films) and Lindy Booth ("American Psycho 2," "Detroit Rock City") are barely differentiated and have no chance of emotionally connecting with the viewers.

Bridge of Spies poster
The wily negotiator kept Abel from receiving a death sentence by suggesting to the judge he might become useful as a future trade and when American pilot Francis Gary Powers (Austin Stowell, "Dolphin Tale," "Whiplash") is shot down over Soviet airspace shortly thereafter, it is Donovan who is recruited by CIA operative Hoffman (Scott Shepherd, "Side Effects") to head to Berlin's "Bridge of Spies."

Stowell (who appeared in Whiplash and the Dolphin Tale movies) doesn’t do anything interesting with the part, though to be fair, Powers doesn’t appear to have been an interesting person, merely one who got caught at a certain place and time.

The Fighter poster
That would appear to be the model for the screenplay, penned by Scott Silver ("8 Mile"), Paul Tamasy (the "Air Bud" movies) and Eric Johnson (from a story by Tamasy, Johnson and Keith Dorrington), which tracks the punishing setbacks between Micky's return to boxing and his first title win.

The script is credited to writers Scott Silver (“8 Mile”) and Paul Tamasy (“Air Bud”) and newcomers Eric Johnson and Keith Dorrington.
And as written by Scott Silver ("8 Mile"), Paul Tamasy ("Air Bud") & Eric Johnson, here is the film's central conflict - family loyalty vs. actual career advancement.
