The 2022 film Jurassic World Dominion was a massive financial success and a lazy, slipshod attempt at storytelling. A muddled mix of nostalgia and badly paced suspense and dim-witted dialogue somehow seemed to please enough moviegoers (and studio brass), that we now have a fourth Jurassic World film, Rebirth.
Set five years after the events of Jurassic World: Dominion, Jurassic World Rebirth opens with a world that has already given up on the notion of dinosaurs coexisting with humans.

…the “all your favorites are back” nature of Dominion (a film that squandered the exciting promise of the prior entry’s batshit ending in a near-legendary bag fumble)…

After some plot setup and character establishment, most of the first hour becomes a Jason Bourne -type chase sequence across Malta – but with dinosaurs!
