Fall opens ala Free Solo , with a trio of thrillseekers — Becky (Grace Caroline Currey, Shazam! ), her boyfriend Dan (Mason Gooding, 2022’s Scream ), and Hunter (Virginia Gardner, 2018’s Halloween ) — scaling a mountain of some kind.
Much of Free Solo centers not just on Alex’s physical preparation for scaling El Capitan, but also his relationships, both with his climbing buddies and his semi-serious girlfriend Sanni McCandless (no immediate relation to Chris McCandless of Into the Wild fame).
The film also contains a lot of humor, because Black ( The Nice Guys , Iron Man 3 ) can't resist turning all the characters into sarcastic smart-asses.
