What critics compared V/H/S: Viral to
Directed by Nacho Vigalondo, “Parallel Monsters” feels slightly reminiscent of the director’s crazily clever Timecrimes, but this time we’re dealing with alternate dimensions instead of time travel.
Taking a much more lo-fi approach with “Parallel Monsters,” Spanish director Nacho Vigalondo offers another case of interdimensional monkey business (in the tradition of his cult debut, “Timecrimes”), wherein inventor Alfonso (Gustavo Salmeron) builds a portal to a parallel universe.
Second up is Parallel Monsters from Timecrimes director Nacho Vigalondo.
Another stand-out is Parallel Monster by Timecrimes Nacho Vigalondo, which messes with a familiar time-travel trope that ends up going in a very different direction.
Finally, an imaginative, outlandish, genuinely disturbing saving grace arrives in the form of "Parallel Monsters," from Nacho Vigalondo (2008's " Timecrimes ").
