Surely, this is not what director Suzanne Bier ( In a Better World , TV’s The Night Manager ) intended.
It has a talented cast, an Oscar-nominated screenwriter, and a celebrated director (Susanne Bier) who’s done incredible work in her native Denmark (In a Better World) and on British TV (The Night Manager), but it never adds up.
