What critics compared Lions for Lambs to
Andrew Garfield (2007's " Lions for Lambs ") is an adequate Tommy, but no match for his two co-stars; too often, Garfield looks to be trying too hard to play his shy, sensitive role, and has a big breakdown scene near the climax that loses its impact by way of his overacting.

As Father Janovich, a young priest who advises Walter and recognizes the struggle in his eyes, Christopher Carley (2007's " Lions for Lambs ") essays a positive representation of a man of faith who isn't defined strictly by his religion.
When the wet behind the ears Father Janovich (Christopher Carley, "Lions for Lambs") comes by to offer a listening ear and get him to confessional, Walt insists he doesn't have time for "fairy tales" and slams the door in his face.
Eastwood also enjoys nice screen time with Christopher Carley ("Lions for Lambs") as Father Janovich, the man who promised Dorothy he'd get Walt to go to confession.
He essentially dislikes everybody: his family, the priest (Christopher Carley, Lions for Lambs), you name it.
The cinematography by Philippe Rousselot (2007's " Lions For Lambs ") is gritty and atmospheric, but also suitably lush, while the art direction and production design equally impress in their detail.

As Donna, Meryl Streep (2007's " Lions for Lambs ") looks to be having a ball, but her wobbly turn is not up to the level one has come to expect from her.
