Edward Wilson, the only witness to his father's suicide and member of the Skull and Bones Society while a student at Yale, is a morally upright young man who values honor and discretion, qualities that help him to be recruited for a career in the newly founded OSS. His dedication to his work does not come without a price though, leading him to sacrifice his ideals and eventually his family.

Even if you've seen him in films as varied as The Good Shepherd (2006), My Week With Marilyn (2011) and Les Misérables (2012), you wouldn't recognize him here in a million years.
Tonally, the movie owes more to movies like “All the President’s Men” than “Serpico,” though one can find modern-day touchstones in films like Robert De Niro’s “The Good Shepherd” or Steven Spielberg’s “Munich,” without dragging or trying to shoehorn superfluous scenes into the story.
Eddie Redmayne, who played Matt Damon's son in "The Good Shepherd," plays an extravagantly blas� young mama's boy swanning around Paris, Majorca and London while his jet-setting parents (Stephen Dillane, Julianne Moore) squabble.
As played from adolescence on by the slim, enigmatic Redmayne (he was Matt Damon's son in "The Good Shepherd"), the character is the sympathetic cipher at the center of "Savage Grace."
