Corky Romano is a bumbling, simpleton, veterinarian and the youngest, outcast son of an aging gangster, named Pops Romano, who calls upon Corky to infiltrate the local FBI and retrieve and destroy evidence being used to incriminate Pops for racketeering charges.

What critics compared Corky Romano to
Saddled with such constraints, the likes of Peter Falk ("Made," "The Princess Bride"), Fred Ward ("Summer Catch," "Tremors"), Peter Berg ("A Midnight Clear," "Fire in the Sky") and Chris Penn ("Rush Hour," "The Funeral") can't do much with their mob figures, while Vinessa Shaw ("Coyote Summer," "Eyes Wide Shut"), Matthew Glave ("Rock Star," "The Wedding Singer") and Richard Roundtree ("Seven," "Shaft") pretty much end up in the same boat, but on the other side playing the good guys.
He’s believable, likable, and kind of adorable in that needs-a-good-vacuuming kind of way, and he easily walks away with the most laughs, particularly after a Corky Romano -esque scene where he and Bateman (also good in his trademark underselling way) accidentally inhale a sizable portion of their intended victim’s cocaine stash.
