An obese lawyer finds himself growing "Thinner" when an old Romani man places a hex on him. Now the lawyer must call upon his friends in organized crime to help him persuade the old man to lift the curse. Time is running out for the desperate lawyer as he draws closer to his own death, and grows ever thinner.

Like most genre fans, I was intrigued and hooked early on by the eerie “body horror” and “psychological terror” concept—in fact, it reminded me a bit of Stephen King’s Thinner , which was funny, terrifying, and thought-provoking.
A loan officer in a Los Angeles bank, she sees the vacant assistant-manager spot dangling tantalizingly close; trying to toughen up for her boss (and apparently having never read Stephen King�s Thinner), she turns down an extension of a Gypsy crone�s (Lorna Raver) mortgage.
