Going Places (1974)

Two whimsical, aimless thugs harass and assault women, steal, murder, and alternately charm, fight, or sprint their way out of trouble. They take whatever the bourgeoisie holds dear, whether it’s cars, peace of mind, or daughters. Marie-Ange, a jaded, passive hairdresser, joins them as lover, cook, and mother confessor. She’s on her own search for seemingly unattainable sexual pleasure.

These two are gentle, sweeter-tempered cousins to the louts played by Gérard Depardieu and Patrick Dewaere in Bertrand Blier's road comedy "Going Places."
I'm thinking of movies like Bertrand Blier's "Going Places" and "Get Out Your Handkerchiefs," along with his almost unseen "Mon Homme."
The work of writer/director Victor Salva ("Nature of the Beast," "Powder"), the film tries to use the Oscar nominated title song - first heard in the 1938 film "Going Places" and which contains the familiar refrain: "Jeepers, creepers, where'd you get those peepers?
It certainly belongs to the modern tradition exemplified by Jean-Luc Godard's "Weekend" and Bertrand Bliter's "Going Places."
