From “High Fidelity” to “About a Boy,” most have managed to capture at least some of his wry voice and cultural passions.
Like About A Boy and to a lesser degree High Fidelity, this adaptation of Hornby's work balances comedy and drama, misfits and musings, to create a concoction that is ultimately effervescent and deeply sweet.
Adapted from a 2005 novel by High Fidelity and About A Boy author Nick Hornby, A Long Way Down can at least lay claim to one of the darkest meet-cutes ever filmed.
