Sex and the City poster
Like its spiritual cousin, the "Sex and the City" movie, the film version of "Entourage" is an almost perfect recreation of the HBO series upon which it is based.

I always looked at the TV series "Entourage" as HBO's testosterone-driven bizarro-world mirror of the network's "Sex and the City": Four sex-obsessed characters getting into relationship misadventures amid the glamour of their ridiculously opulent city — with the glitz of Hollywood replacing the chic of New York.

The stagnant characters have neither evolved nor changed, unlike the other HBO high-life series it is often compared to, Sex and the City, which ended its TV run the year Entourage launched.
That seems to be the biggest question surrounding the film, although if the success of “Sex and the City” (which had a similar hiatus between its series finale and the first movie) is any indication, the studio has absolutely nothing to worry about.

Entourage mimics the Sex And The City formula on the big screen just as it did on the small one, doing more or less the same thing, but on an amplified scale that makes everyone seem like cartoon versions of their former selves.

Hollywood has a long history of turning television series into movies, usually years later, often as a parody and without the original cast ("Star Trek" and HBO's own "Sex and the City" being obvious exceptions).

Air poster
He’s like Jeremy Piven as Ari on “Entourage,” only tolerable.

Serenity poster
This could probably be credited to the cancellation of Joss Whedon’s Firefly leading to the film Serenity, which made sense, as it allowed some form of closure for a show that was prematurely finished.
Ted poster
Of the 42 different famous people officially credited as playing themselves, most simply wave at the camera, though rapper T.I. gets the biggest laugh, business tycoon Warren Buffett is the most unexpected presence, and executive producer Mark Wahlberg manages to plug both the “Ted” sequel and his reality show “Wahlburgers” in his minute-long cameo, which is pretty shameless even by “Entourage” standards.

I Feel Pretty poster
The ensemble cast is so strong, just about everyone makes an impression: Busy Philipps (2015's " The Gift ") and Aidy Bryant (a standout on TV's "Saturday Night Live"), endearing and real as Renee's best friends Jane and Vivian; Emily Ratajkowski (2015's " Entourage "), overcome with her own personal struggles that no amount of knockout looks will fix as gym acquaintance Mallory; Sasheer Zamata (2016's " Yoga Hosers ") as gym receptionist Tasha, on a one-track mission to avoid getting sued following Renee's Soul Cycle accident; and Lauren Hutton (2010's " The Joneses "), in a welcome turn as cosmetic company matriarch Lily LeClaire."I…
