Plot
“I could’ve been more famous than Captain America,” he gripes, squeezing himself into his old costume – a gag that is familiar from The Incredibles but has been in service at least since The Return of Captain Invincible in 1983.
Its originality actually might not seem so novel, too, once you consider the 1983 film “The Return of Captain Invincible”.
Inspired by "The Coming Global Superstorm," by those noted scientists Art Bell (radio's Pahrump-based voice of doom) and Whitley Strieber (whose "Communion" chronicled his alien abduction), "The Day After Tomorrow's" factual accuracy seems as suspect as some of the movie's outlandish set pieces.
