Still, as flawed, fallible creatures, we return to the same nagging reflection: "If only..." Backed by Abel Korzeniowski's (2013's " Escape from Tomorrow ") rhapsodically composed score, the final minutes, in their stunning stillness and uncompromised suggestion, are crushing.
Mostly, though, it made me remember "Escape from Tomorrow," the surreal dark comedy from 2013 that was shot guerilla-style at the actual Magic Kingdom, and that skewered its sterile utopian fantasy.
It takes the tropical palette of retirement doc Some Kind of Heaven and makes it far more sinister: More Escape from Tomorrow than Disney World.
